Our Story

Our story is a common one in LGBTQIA+ Communities across the nation, maybe even across the world. People coming together to help people. It's common, but our story has its unique twist. 

 Founder George Offutt-Gillenwater, also known in the LGBTQIA+ Midwest Community as Denim Blake Omni, recognized a desire within the queer community of Indianapolis to have more social positive experiences.  He also recognized a call to action by local health and wellness community based organizations needing to reach specific communities that were being disproportionately impacted by 

With 20+ years of event planning and promoting experience, George decided to resurrect a pageant system he started,  that had been non-existent for 11 years. This mobilization effort energized a community and inspired a talented group of individuals to get involved, now known as The Naptown Newlife Team. 

The Naptown Newlife Team has become essential in producing some of the best queer events in the Midwest including: Midwest Battle of the Divas, Naptown Pageants, #MCM Man Crush Mania and Our Drag Revue Show Ge-Joe’s Juke Joint.
